Martha Ethel Kauffman, 96, of Anderson, died on Oct. 23, 2017, at Community Hospital following a short illness.
She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Traverse City, Michigan, to B. J. and Hattie (Meeks) Hellems.
She was an administrative assistant at Pierce Governor and Church of God Ministries.
She was a 50-year member of the Anderson First Baptist Church. A charter member of Professional Secretaries International. She loved ballroom dancing and she volunteered at Community Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Voss of Anderson; two grandchildren, Rusty (Jennifer) Voss and Lori (Commodore Jr.) Gibson; five great-grandchildren, Damon, William, Alexis, Ryan and Aiden; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Kauffman; two brothers, Paul Hellems and Ralph Hellems; and three sisters, Helen Brooks, Lona Swain, and Erma Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Art Jaggard officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at the funeral home.
