Mary E. DeLawter, 84, of Anderson, passed away on Jan. 12, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor, Middletown.
She was born on Nov. 29, 1932, in Chesterfield, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She retired as a line worker for Essex Wire.
She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Debra (Ralph) Buster, Diana (Steve) Axxe, and Gregory (Terri) DeLawter; sister, Barbara Stewart; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sue DeLawter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D. DeLawter; son, Donald DeLawter; father, Claude Ulmer; mother, Minnie Ulmer, sister, Betty Ulmer; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
