Matt Reynolds, 46, Marion, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.
Matt was born on March 31, 1971, in Anderson, to Donald and Sherri (Baker) Reynolds, and has lived in the Alexandria area for most of his lifetime.
He was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1989 and received his bachelor of arts degree from Indiana State University in 1993. Matt has worked as an independent environmental engineer contracting with companies like MPS, Caterpillar and Omnisource.
He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Ohio State football. He always enjoyed the time that he was able to spend with Cade, his son.
Survivors include his son, Cade Reynolds and his mother, Angie Hilligoss of Alexandria; mother, Sherri Baker Sullivan of Alexandria; father, Donald "Pete" (Penny) Reynolds of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; sister, Marcie (Dave) Wood of Westerville, Ohio; brothers, Joel Reynolds of Chesterton, and Brian Sullivan of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Monty Reynolds; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Ida Belle Baker; and paternal grandparents, Don and Barbara Reynolds.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, in the Lutheran Church of Our Blessed Savior, 309 W. Washington St., Alexandria, with Pastor Kal Rissman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Garden of Serenity Columbarium in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Friends may call at the church after noon on Friday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to establish a fund for Cade's future college expense.
