MICHAEL ANDREW SULLIVAN

January 02, 1943 - November 30, 2018

MICHAEL ANDREW SULLIVAN Michael Andrew Sullivan passed away Nov. 30, 2018, in Indianapolis. Our beloved husband, father, brother and Pappy. Mike was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Anderson and was a 1961 graduate of Markleville High School. To know Michael was to love him. He was a wonderful family man, a kind and caring leader and a teacher of all - the world he left behind is far better for his presence in it.
Sully was employed at GM/Delphi for 39 years, working in Anderson; St. Louis, Missouri; Dayton, Ohio; and Lockport, New York, rising from Supervisor to Plant Manager and working in all aspects of operations. He also worked for the Dayton Public School System, as an independent consultant, and for 10 years at Purdue Kokomo as a Professor in Organizational Leadership. He graduated from GMI in 1966 with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering, earned a Master of Business Administration from Ball State in 1985 and worked toward a Doctorate in Adult Education at Missouri-St. Louis.
Michael was predeceased by his son, James Michael "Jamey" Sullivan; and his parents, Doris and Arlus "Buck" Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Jan Jennings Sullivan of Westfield; first wife of 33 years, Sandra Sparks (Randy) Cunningham of Anderson; son, Brad (Jane) Sullivan of Zionsville and their children, Cullen and Callista; sister, Lena Mae Sullivan of Indianapolis; stepmother, Betty Jo Sullivan of Indianapolis; stepson, Barry (Julia) Moffitt of Carmel, and their children Rylann and Cole; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Matt) Harre of Marion, Illinois and their children, Camryn and Jack; first cousins, Jim (Donna Lou) Jones of Anderson and Margaret Bennett of Bellville, Michigan; and too many other loving family and friends to list.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Christian Church in Markleville on Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, the Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend gratitude to the staff of Wellbrooke of Westfield for their remarkable care and to the angels of the St. Vincent Hospice Staff. Albertson's Mortuary, Indianapolis.
