Minnie Rose Anna (Hart) Graham, 66, of Anderson, died peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 18, 2017.
She was born April 17, 1951, in Anderson, to Howard E. and Grace D. (Remington) Hart.
Minnie was a 1969 graduate of Frankton High School and a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. She was a police officer and assistant Chief of Police at Edgewood Police Department for 18 years and worked for the Madison County Sheriff's Department for several years.
She also earned a master sharp shooter award for her shooting skills. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Ricky Graham of Anderson, whom she married on Oct. 13, 2006; sons, David Swafford and Bryan Swafford, both of Florida; three grandchildren, Tyler, Skyler and Kadie; five siblings, Ed Hart, Will (Vickie) Hart, Tom (Patricia) Hart, Nick (Cindy) Hart and Candy (Rudy) Ballard; many nieces and nephews; special babies, Dodger and Katie; and special friends, Theresa and Susan Knuckles and Tom and Gloria Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank and Larry Hart; and special grandmother and namesake, Minnie (Palmer) Remington Keener.
Everyone is welcome to a celebration of her life at Bethany Christian Church from 11:30 to 12:30 before graveside services. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at East Maplewood Cemetery, officiated by Bob Bell.
In lieu of flowers, if wished memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
