Orville "Kay" Sheward, 85, of Pinellas Park, Florida, went to heaven Aug. 31, 2017, with his family by his side, at Largo Medical Hospital.
He was born Oct. 20, 1931, to Estol and Ruby Sheward.
Orville graduated from Anderson High School in 1950. He then served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His last place of employment was Derby Lane Greyhound Racing in St Petersburg, Florida, as a security officer.
Kay is survived by his wife, Mary Anne (Cheever) Sheward; son, Timothy Sheward; daughter, Mary Kay (Ronald) Knotts; grandchildren, Brian Sheward, Ryan (Valerie) Knotts, and Tyler Knotts; and his brother, Dwaine (Chick) Sheward.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, the day after his birthday at Eastview Nazarene Church, with a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. with his nephew, Pastor Scott Tischler officiating.
