Patsy Mae "Pat" Breckenridge went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, 2017, in the home of her son, John surrounded by her children.
Pat was born to Wilbert and Helen Paschen on Jan. 4, 1938, in Metea, Indiana. A farm child, she never lost the love of working in the soil or watching things grow.
On Nov. 16, 1958, Pat married the love of her life Charles "Chuck" Breckenridge. They were married for 48 years before his death on April 12, 2006.
She was a 45-year member of the First Baptist Church of Alexandria. She served as a Sunday school teacher and deaconess for many years. A member of Master Gardeners of Madison County and the Alexandria Garden Club. She loved to sew, do crafts, rummage, and work in her yard and farmhouse. Most of all, she loved her family and got her greatest joy watching her children and grandchildren play sports.
Pat is survived by her son, John (Sharon) Breckenridge of Frankton; daughters, Lee (Gary) Moore of Fairview, Texas, Mikhail (Bob) Willoughby of Alexandria, and Kasey (Andrew) Bacanskas of Escondido, California; her grandchildren, Charles (Brittany), Cameron, Carson (Rachel), Brandon, Sydney, Kendall, Nate, and Abigail; and great-grandchildren, John and Rylan. Also her stepmother, Wilma Paschen; her brothers, Robert Paschen, Chuck Paschen, and Gary (Diane) Paschen; sisters, Donita (Ben) Redding and Betty Morris; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, her parents; husband; infant daughter, Kelly Layne; and her sister-in-law, Lois Paschen.
Services honoring Pat's legacy and faith will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 2107 Park Ave., Alexandria, with Pastor Michael Deutsch officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Friends may call at the First Baptist Church on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. or after 1 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alexandria First Baptist Church with envelopes available at the visitation and services.
