Paul N. Trent, 70, of Chesterfield, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 10, 2017, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Terre Haute.
Paul graduated from Garfield High School in Terre Haute and was a Proud Purple Eagle. He graduated from Frankfort Pilgram College and Seminary at Anderson College.
He ministered at Parkview Wesleyan Church, Chesterfield, since 1995. He previously served the Lebanon Wesleyan Church from 1978-1995, Calvary Wesleyan Church, Indianapolis, from 1977-1978, Southview Wesleyan Church, Indianapolis, from 1973-1977, and served as youth pastor at Forrest Hills Wesleyan Church in Evansville in 1973.
He served on the District Board of Administration for many years in several capacities. He loved preaching and singing in camp ministries, revivals and youth ministry. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and IU Hoosiers fan and dearly loved his family.
Paul is survived by his loving spouse of 46 years, Patricia (Hines) Trent; sons, Patrik Trent, Philip (Heather) Trent, Darren (Josmar) Trent, and Sean (Brecklyn) Trent; grandchildren, Morgan Trent, Kaylin Trent, and Logan Trent; siblings, Carl (Hilda) Trent, Donna (Jim) Bratt, and Debbie (Mel) Krueger; brother-in-law, Dick (Sherry) Hines; sister-in-law, Barbara (Dennis) Hilton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn and Carl C. Trent.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Parkview Wesleyan Church, 27 E. Main St., Chesterfield, with the Rev. Clifton Ashlock officiating.
