Phyllis Z. Lockwood, 99, passed away at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation, LaFontaine, on Dec. 7, 2017.
She was born on July 5, 1918, to Errol M. and Phyllis (Cowles) Zorn.
Phyllis was born in New York, New York, but spent most of her life in Indiana. Phyllis was an only child but entered into a very large loving family when on Nov. 13, 1937, she married Walter R. Lockwood. He was the youngest of 10 children.
He preceded her in death in November 2001. In her earlier years, she worked as a secretary and was proficient in shorthand. Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her spouse for business purposes. Phyllis attended the First Presbyterian Church of Grant County, Jonesboro. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo as well as other card games.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Walter Ray (Frances) Lockwood Jr., Marion, and Jill Anne (Charles) Price, Waukesha, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jeannie Price, Andrew Price, Mark Lockwood, and Karen Taylor; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, with Pastor Laurie Wolcott officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
