Randy R. Stohler, 59, of Markleville, died peacefully in his sleep and went to be with the Lord on Jan. 19, 2017, at his residence.
He was born May 12, 1957, in Anderson, and resided all of his life in Markleville.

Those who knew Randy well knew him as a gentle, kind, very funny, and most importantly, Christian man who loved God. He loved and valued his family and his close friends very much. He loved quotes and bible verses and was known to share them with others often. One quote he shared with family recently was this, "A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you, and were helped by you, will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts not on marble."
Randy is survived by his daughter, Lindsay (Brady) Fisher of Fortville; siblings, Teresa (Paul) Knight of Markleville, Jimmie D. Stohler of Oklahoma, Devona (Chris) Cook of Texas, and Kent (Jill) Stohler of Muncie; two granddaughters, Aubrey and Reagan Fisher, the joys of his life; and stepmother Joan Stohler of Muncie.
Randy was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gretchen Stohler; his father, Jimmie Stohler; and his beloved dog, Chandler.
