Richard Alan Jones Jr., 58, of Bensenville, Illinois, died unexpectedly at his home on Dec. 1, 2017.
He was born Oct. 18, 1959, in Muncie, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Alan moved to Anderson, Indiana, in 1966, graduating from Anderson High School in 1978. In 1983, he received a bachelor of science degree in industrial management from Purdue University.
He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Faternity. He worked for Claussen, a division of Oscar Meyer, for four years, and Kellogg for three years, then retiring.
Richard is survived by his loving mother, Donna (Bliss) Jones; sister, Maryellen (Jeff) Seeley of Chanhassen, Minnesota; and brother, David (Akiko) Jones of Nolensville, Tennessee. Also surviving are two nieces, Grace Seeley and Monet Jones; and a nephew, Tyki Jones.
He was preceded in death by father, Richard Alan "Dick" Jones Sr.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
A memorial service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Weber officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
