Robert E. "Bob" Hudson, 71, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on Dec. 7, 1946, in Elwood, to William and Betty (Warren) Hudson, and was a lifetime resident of Alexandria. Bob worked at numerous jobs all of his life ranging from maintenance work to food service. He was a fan of NASCAR and Richard Petty, speedway racing and his grandkids brought him great joy.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Hudson, Alexandria; children, John (Tricia) Hudson, Fairmount, Brian (Misty) Hudson, Alexandria, Tia Ellis in Kentucky; and Tammy Puckett, Alexandria; sisters, Pam (Mike) Sipes, Anderson, Candy (John) Cape, Warsaw; companion of 30 years, Jennifer Lewis and her children, Sam (Jen) Lewis in New York State, and Latisha (Clay) Soverns in Virginia; numerous blended grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, with family members conducting the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday prior to service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Noffze Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
