Robert E. Onstott born in Anderson, Indiana, passed away at his home in Foley, Alabama, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at the age of 86, with his wife, Sue of nearly 66 years by his side.
He is survived by wife, Sue; three children, Robert S. (Chris) Onstott, Deanne (Blair) Mace and Jana (Jeff) Taylor; eight grandchildren, Nicole Brummett, Megan (Dave) Poynter, Jessica, Amber and Valorie Mace,
Brittany, Kylie and Brandon Taylor; 12 great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Nicholas, Izik, Elijah, Nick, Amaiyah, Madison, Brayden, Luke, Koltyn, Mace, and Eloise; a brother, Larry Onstott of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters.
He was a graduate of Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana, and skilled trades school.
He served four years in the Naval Reserves and three years in the Marine Corp.
He retired from General Motors as a tool & die maker, and product designer after 35 years.
He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
