Roberta June "Bertie" (Trindel) Silvey, 88, went to her home in Heaven the evening of Jan. 12, 2018.
She was born in Elwood, Indiana, to the late Robert and Ola Trindel, June 3, 1929. She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1946. She retired from Delco Remy, Plant 11 on Dec. 31, 1982, after 32 years.
She had a zest for life! She and her husband, Bob, enjoyed square-dancing, fishing, family and traveling. They spent several winters camping and fishing in Eufaula, Alabama.
She was a born-again Christian with membership in New Hope Christian Church until dissolving. She then attended Chesterfield Community Church of God.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Jo Ellen) McFall of Anderson, a daughter, Marla Edgar of Anderson; stepson, Virle Collier; grandchildren, Michael (Kim) McFall, Angie (Evan) Mencke and Alex McFall (Laurel Hill); great-grandchildren, Nate Mencke, Olivia McFall and Owen McFall; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ola Trindel; siblings, Lillian (Kenneth) Hiatt and Robert "Bud" (Mary) Trindel; husband, Robert Silvey, and her first husband, Jesse McFall.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Todd Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2018, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Community Church of God.
