Rodney Worth Philbert, age 50, of Terre Haute, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017.
He was born in Pendleton, Indiana, to Joe Philbert and Sandra Davis. He was an avid outdoorsman and skilled carpenter. He participated in charitable building restorations including Habitat for Humanity, Lowe's Hero Project, and assisted in refurbishing of the Terre Haute Lighthouse Mission.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Davis; and his sister, Julie Philbert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Penny; his son, Nick; daughter, Hannah (Fred) Wright; father, Joe (Wyveda) Philbert, Dawn Mahoney, Jeff (Hyang Och) Philbert, Mark (Heather) Philbert, Mike (Charity) Moore, Corinna (Mark) Basore, and Chris Moore; grandchildren, Maverick and Ayda Wright; and several nieces and nephews.
In honor of his wishes cremation was chosen. DeBaun Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
A Celebration of Life is being held at Cobblestone Crossing Clubhouse in Terre Haute, Saturday, Nov. 25, from 2 to 6 p.m.
