Ronald C. Brown
Ronald was born Dec. 29, 1957, in Anderson, to Lawana J. Copeland and William E. Brown. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1976 and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Self-employed as an electrician, he worked locally and in Indianapolis and in several states, most notably in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, where it was said he blessed many with his electrical skills. Ronald had a free spirit enjoying nature, fishing, sports, writing music and entertaining friends with his comedic antics. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, being baptized by the Rev. Edgar Jackson.
Ronald is survived by parents, Lawana (James) Copeland, William (Lena) Brown; siblings, William (Jan) Brown, Vincent (Carles) Brown, James (Melanie) Copeland, Tony (Margo) Brown, Kisha Brown, Faye Lurry, John Copeland, Jeffery and Jimmie Cottrell; special friends, employers, mentors, mainly Ken Thorpe and Spencer Moss of Indianapolis, Sandra and Jerry Brown of Anderson, and the Rev. Jesse Earles of New Orleans, Louisiana; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces who loved him dearly. Special mention to Valerie Wills and son Taiyon for their devotion.
Homegoing service will be held at noon Saturday at Second Baptist Church, 230 W. 14th St., with the the Rev. William O'Neal officiating.
Visitation from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday.
