Rosalie M. (Benefiel) Hawkins, 78, of Anderson, passed away Jan. 9, 2018, at her residence in Anderson.
She was born May 18, 1939, in Anderson, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Rosalie graduated from Lapel High School in 1957.
She was retired from Wholesale Connection in Alexandria, and formerly worked at Guide Lamp Division of General Motors
Rosalie is survived by her son, Vince Hawkins of Charlestown, Indiana; daughter, Georgia "Bea" (William) Chase of Lapel; one brother, Terry (Judy) Benefiel of Frankton; two sisters, Rowena (Larry) Wollenhaupt of South Carolina, and Gloria (Phil) Bott of Frankton; sister-in law, Pam (Dean) Kingery; grandchildren, Courtney (Joe Abbott Sr.) Hawkins, Bradley (Brandy) Forrer, Brock (Ally) Forrer, and Kyle Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Sammy Hawkins, Xander Forrer, Rae Rose, Milly Forrer, and Georgia Forrer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Mary (Danner) Benefiel; husband, Jack Hawkins; brother, Benny Benefiel; and a grandson, Brandon Forrer.
The family would like to thank Doctors Mares, Sharief and Yeh and the entire staff at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dewey Miller officiating. Burial will take place in Neese Cemetery, Perkinsville.
