Ruth Marie (Peavler) Kelly, 82, of Anderson died Jan. 15, 2017, at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Crothersville, Indiana, to Herman and Dolla Belle (Spicer) Peavler and graduated from Anderson High School in 1952.
She worked production at Delco Remy Division of General Motors plants 10 and 20 before retiring in 1990.
She was a member of AMVETS and enjoyed camping, crocheting and making clothing for concrete geese.
Ruth is survived by her children, Vivian (Mike) Norviel and Vince (Karla) Kelly; sister, Leona (Bill) Brumett; seven grandchildren, Michael Norviel; Daniel (Christine King) Norviel; Curtis (Stephanie) Kelly, Dakota Kelly, Krystal (Shauna) Williams; Courtney Kelly and Chloe Kelly; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald Kelly; son, Barry Kelly; granddaughter, Kaliegh Kelly, great grandson, Evan Williams; brothers, Leon, Benjamin and Robert Peavler and her sister, Margaret Lockhart.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Gary McCaslin officiating with burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at the funeral home.
