Sharon A. (Plake) Pierce, 63, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Community Hospital Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1953, in Elwood to David and Dora (Warren) Plake.
Sharon was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School, Class of 1972, and attended Ball State University for three years as well.
She had worked at Hook;s Drug Store and Cox's Super Market in Alexandria and most recently at Community Northview in Anderson. Sharon was an avid reader; however, her greatest joy in life was her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Fraley of Anderson; grandchildren, Raegan Fraley and Tate Fraley; brother, Jim (Becky) Plake of Alexandria; dear friend, Loretta Rhorer of Alexandria; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, David Lamper, Kay Waymire, Sandy Taylor and John Plake.
Services honoring Sharon's life and her legacy will take place at 5 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017, in the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Adam Fraley will officiate. Cremation will follow the services.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.
Memorial contributions are requested to the Noffze Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
