Shirley Kincaid, 82, of Anderson, passed away Dec. 22, 2017, of a malignant brain tumor.
She was born Feb. 2, 1935, in Anderson, the daughter of Tick and Irene Beatty.
Shirley is survived by her sister, Janie Rada; and cousins in California and Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Kincaid; and her son, Vincent Kincaid.
Lasting friendships were developed through Soap Box Derby days.
For many years, she and Leon divided their time between Anderson and the St. Pete area of Florida.
Much of her time in Anderson was spent mowing two acres and mulching leaves. She was also very active with her high school class reunions and luncheons.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Marc Adams officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
