Sim's Story

Sim "Pete" Clayborn Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 8, 2017.
Sim was born in Eden, Miss., to Sim Clayborn Sr. and Genella Williams.
Sim worked many years as a construction worker. He was a strong-willed individual who was willing to help anyone. He enjoyed watching baseball, wresting, and especially gardening.
He leaves to cherish his departure his beloved daughters, Edna (Willie) Bender of Calumet Park, Ill., Patricia (Eddie Turney) Clayborn of Champagne, Ill.; sister, Mandy Jones of Anderson; special sister-in-law, Zelma Pinkler; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sim was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Bertha Ree Clayborn; parents; Preston Clayborn; Willie Clayborn, John Pinkler; Genella Williams; Sim Clayborn,Sr.; Joseph Jones; Emma Crosier; Frankie Walker; Willie Walker; Annie Pearl; Ananias Walker.
Service will be held Saturday at noon at Berean Baptist Church Ministries, 2307 Broadway St., Anderson. Interment Maplewood Cemetery.
Visistation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
