Having not lived in Madison County for 30+ years, I'm not in the habit or reading the Herald-Bulletin obituaries. But I had occasion to do that last week, and I was saddened to learn of Tom's passing. I probably haven't seen Tom more than once or twice since I graduated from Frankton HS in 1984, but something about seeing his smiling face on the H-B obituary page brought back a lof of memories of time at Frankton. I will forever recall Tom as the nicest and kindest person I knew in high school; he was u niquely calm and gentle and warm-hearted at a time of life when most people are filled with angst or anger or sarcasm. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone he met, and he coul...d be counted on to take any setback in easy stride. Even then I admired his unruffled approach to life, and I've come to appreciate it even more as I've grown older. I hope Tom's passing, although unexpected, was peaceful, and that you all find peace as well during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.Read more

I am so sorry for your loss. I would like to leave a scripture with you that comforts me. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing" God has promised that death will be a thing of the past and that you with see your loved one again. Pray to God for comfort and you will receive it. You are in my prayers.

Tom was my co-worker and more importantly my friend. He was one of the kindest people that I ever met. I feel so honored to have known him and will never forget him. I have never met his family but feel as if I have because he talked about them frequently and lovingly. My continued prayers and thoughts go out to you. See you on the other side my friend.

Worked with Tom at Aspire on the Act Team. Tom was one of the nicest people I ever met. He was so kind and truly cared about his coworkers. He was very dedicated to the consumers and always did all he could for them. His family meant so very much to him. He had a beautiful spirit. I know he will be missed a lot. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family. God bless.

I remember Tom from when he worked at Bronnenberg Children's Home. He was so good with the kids. He was a good guy. My condolences in your loss.
