Tiffany "Tiff" Key, 37, Alexandria. passed away on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Community Hospital in Anderson following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1980, in Tecumseh, Michigan, to Gerald Allen and Penny (Smith) Anderson. Tiff was a graduate of Onsted High School Class of 1998 and Kellogg Community College in 2000. She has lived in the Alexandria area since 2006. She worked as a dental hygienist for Kluth Family Dentistry in Alexandria and McDonald Family Dentistry in McCordsville. She was an active and beloved member of Delta Theta Tau sorority of Alexandria. She was a member of the Christian Congregation Church of Alexandria and a classroom volunteer in the Alexandria Elementary School. She also sold "31" bags. Tiff enjoyed scrapbooking, amateur photography, talking and texting on her cellphone. She raised animals, planted flowers, loved to plan parties and decorate. She was a people person and made friends with anyone that she crossed paths with. Tiff was most beloved for her vibrant personality and perseverance in life. She devoted her life to the care and nurturing of her family, especially her two precious daughters.
Survivors include husband, Monty Key, married Aug. 30, 2008; daughters, Gwyn and Daphnie Key; mother and stepfather, Penny and Tom Anderson, Adrian, Michigan; brothers, Justin Allen (fiancee Alicia Novess)Manchester, Michigan, Brandon (Jenna) Clement, Napoleon, Michigan; father, Gerald Allen,Crawfordsville; mother and father-in-law, Dennis and Marla Key, Alexandria; maternal grandmother, Patricia Smith, Manchester, Michigan; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Smith; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Janet Allen; and cousin, Jeremy DeLawter.
Services honoring Tiffany's life and legacy will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, in the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 N. 300E, Alexandria, with Pastors Jerry Young and Kevin Young officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the church from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday or after 10 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to benefit Tiffany's daughters through MainSource Bank, 202 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, IN 46001 or envelopes will be available at the visitation and services.
