GYPSUM, Kan. [mdash] Timothy Lee Foist, 67, Gypsum, Kansas, and formerly of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away Feb. 14, 2018.
He was born Jan. 15, 1951, to Russell and Rozella (Manis) Foist in Anderson, Indiana.
Timothy was a 1969 graduate of Maxwell High School. He received a bachelor of science and master of education degree from Indiana State University. He received his Superintendent's Certification from Kansas State University.
His marriage in 1972 to Nancy Allen produced two sons, Aaron and Caleb.
After a long and distinguished career in education, he retired to his ranch in Gypsum, Kansas, where he raised prized Wagyu cattle.
His loving companion, Kathryn Hoffner of the home, survives him as do his two sons, Aaron (Rebecca) and Caleb; his mother, Rozella (Manis) Foist; siblings, Sandra Foist (Gene Platus) and Tamara Pringle (Robert); four grandchildren; and a niece.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. with services following, on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Ballard & Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, Indiana.
