Uriah L. Wilson, 29, of Markleville passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017.
He was born in Plattsburgh, New York, and graduated from Pendleton Heights High School. He attended Pendleton Christian Church.
Uriah was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He received lots of specialized training and completed a mission of training forces in Mongolia.
He had worked as a special deputy for the Madison County Sheriff's Department since 2012.
Uriah is survived by his parents, Larry W. (Heather) Wilson, of Markleville, and Louisa Austin Wright, Long Lake, N.Y.; sister, Lydia (Andy) Nelson, of Pendleton; step-siblings, Antoine (Julie) Davis, of Mary Esther, Fla., Chad (Taylor) Gemmen, of Lafayette, Simon Gemmen, of Cedar, Utah, and Rachael Gemmen, of Anderson; grandparents, Norman and Nancy Wilson of Noblesville; and nieces and nephews, Zane and MaKaiya Davis, and Rose Gemmen.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Laurinda Diana Wilson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pendleton Christian Church, with Pastor Michael Canada officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Disabled American Veterans.
Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
