Vera Ethel Sanders Vera Ethel Laswell Sanders, 91, resident of Middletown, passed away Monday morning at her residence.
She was born in Indianapolis, Jan. 18, 1927, the daughter of Roy Edison and Dora Brown Laswell.
She was a 1945 graduate of Middletown High School and owned and operated Vera's Doll House for 32 years.
She was a member of the Honey Creek United Methodist Church and attended Mount Zion Wesleyan Church. She was a member of the Honey Creek Home Economics Club, 4 Winds Doll club, and the Doll Club Federation.
Survivors are her children, Larry (Sue Horan), Robert Anthony (Tony) wife Gigi, Jeff (Susan) and Amy, all of Middletown; and Susie Rankin (Jack) of Muncie; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda J. Sanders of New Port Richey, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to her caregivers: Courtney Surber, Fay Griffith and Joyce Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Robert; sister, Velma Branson; and a daughter, Barbara.
Services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, with Pastor Steve Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.
Friends may call on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mount Zion Wesleyan Church.
