Violet's Story

Violet Wayne Turbeville, 75, of Anderso, passed away June 13, 2017, at Rawlings House in Pendleton.
She was born Nov. 2, 1941, in Lee County, Va.
Violet was a retired home health care worker out of St. Vincent Hospital. She retired and was a homemaker and a fantastic cook. She was a very hard worker who loved her family very much. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a lot of fun to be around. She dearly loved her four-legged friend, Pooch.
Violet is survived by her children, James Edward Williams Junior (Kathy), Andy Williams (Shelly), Ricky Williams, Ernie Williams (Teresa), Linda Cross, and Tammy Rigdon; her sisters, Mary Lou Lewis, Bonnie Bruce and Kathy Ford; and a special brother, Coy Fee.
She had 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Lulia and Walter Ingle; her precious son, Preston Williams; and special brother-in-law, Francis Ford.
Visitation will be at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday with funeral services immediately following. Burial of cremains at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
