William's Story

William W. Bishop passed away July 27, 2017, in Indianapolis. He was born in Ludlow, Kentucky, to Walter and Rhoda (Triplett) Bishop on March 13, 1937.
Bill graduated from Ludlow High School, where he played baseball and basketball. He was selected by his coaches as the Most Outstanding Athlete at Ludlow High in 1955. He is a member of the Ludlow High School Sports Hall of Fame and the Northwest Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.
Bill served his country in the United States Army for two years. He retired from Guide Division in 1995 after 30.5 years. He was a member of Redeemer Baptist Church.
Left to cherish Bill's memory are his son, Scott Bishop of Anderson; sister, Barbara Brown of Clayton, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Braden and Nichole; and his church family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob; sister, Betty; son, Wayne Bishop; and his good buddy and pal, Bill Breeck.

Contributions in memory of Bill may be made to Redeemer Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services with Pastor Brad Storm officiating. Visitation is one hour prior. Interment will immediately follow the service at Anderson Memorial Park with Military Honors.
