ALEXANDRIA William F. "Bill" Gustin, 76, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at IU Health Tipton Hospital in Tipton following an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Anderson, to William and Mildred (Stroud) Gustin, and has lived in Alexandria for most of his lifetime. Bill served with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1962. He retired from Kennedy Tool and Die in Alexandria in 2001. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Survivors include his companion, Kandy Stanley of Alexandria; four sons, Jay Gustin of Muncie, Billy (Deb) Gustin of New Castle, Matthew Gustin of Anderson, and Samuel Gustin of Terre Haute; four daughters, Lisa (Richard) Gustin, Teri (Ron) Snyder, and Lori Lynch, all of Connersville, and Amanda Gustin of Tipton; several grandchildren including Jasper Brown and Ainsley Brown; three sisters, Mildred White, Mary Ann Remy and Sue Halverson, all of Alexandria; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Gustin; and sister, Marsha Gustin.
Services honoring Bill's life and legacy took place on Feb. 6, 2018, at Noffze Funeral Home, Alexandria. Pastor Joe Brock officiated. Military honors took place following the services. Cremation took place following the service and private interment of cremains will take place in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project through the funeral home.
