William Edward Teal, 82, of Noblesville, died Jan. 15, 2018, at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1935, in Atlanta, Indiana, to Oral Linton and Helen Georgia (Stover) Teal.
He was a graduate of Tipton High School with the Class of 1953. He then honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Ed, as he was known, was a machine repairman for Delco Remy at Anderson, where he had worked for many years. After retirement, his children said he continued to work with his hands repairing, fixing and making things.
He was a member of the Sertoma Club at Noblesville, the Tipton Masonic Lodge and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving him are a daughter, Sallie Ann (Jon) Jones of Brownsburg; son, Scott Allen Teal of Noblesville; brother, Jessie (Pamela) Teal of Fishers; and four grandchildren, Zachary Teal, Samantha Jones, Jacob Jones and Shelby Jones.
His parents and two brothers, Darrell Teal and Marvin Teal, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with Pastor Jody Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of the services.
