Willodean's Story

Willodean Martha Dye, 92, of Anderson, passed away March 11, 2018, at St. Vincent Indianapolis.
She was born July 10, 1925, in Pike Township, Indiana.
Willodean graduated from Pike Township High School, Class of 1943.
She worked as a secretary for Container Corp. for 11 years, Social Security Administration for two years and retired from Anderson University after nine years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she volunteered and was active in the Women's Group. She was also a volunteer for Friends of the Library.
Willodean is survived by her son, Jon (Nancy) Dye; sister, Arlene Hayden; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Emma Schooler; husband, Arthur Dye; and sister, Mildred Good.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Deena Johnson officiating.
Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Anderson First United Methodist Church, 1215 Jackson St., Anderson, IN 46016.
