Buddy Franklin (Ralph C. Franklin), 59, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1957, in Anderson to William Earl Franklin and Peggy J (Franklin, Stone) Farrington.
He was a member of Labor Union Local 120. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, playing pool and spending time with loved ones. Buddy was a member of the local ABATE of Madison County.
Buddy is survived by his mother, Peggy J. Farrington, of Alexandria; step-children, Steve Gibbs, Jerry Gibbs and Kelli Miller; siblings, Brenda Franklin, Billy Franklin, Bobby Stone, Belinda (Gary) Clark, Barbie Franklin, Donna Sanders, Marty (Todd) Stone, Jimmy Stone, Becky Franklin, Patrick Stone; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Franklin; and brother, Johnny Stone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the 40&8, 1600 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be sent to the Make a Wish Foundation (www.wish.org) in his name.
