Carl D. "Bud" Badger, 82, of Anderson, passed away Jan. 31, 2017, at his residence in Anderson.
He was born on Oct. 29, 1934, in Anderson, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Carl "Bud" graduated from Anderson High School.
Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp who served during Korean War.
He was retired as a self-employed contractor.
He was an avid fisherman, and loved the casino.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson, Anderson Elks, and AMVETS in Anderson.
Carl "Bud" is survived by his loving spouse, whom he married May 3, 1955, Artie M. (Shields) Badger of Anderson; two daughters, Debbie (Dana) Blankinship of Anderson,and Kim Trueblood of Anderson; brother, Paul Thomas (Diane) Badger of Fullerton, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Martineau of Garden Grove, Calif., and Judy (Ralph) Wynn of Hemet, Calif.; five grandchildren, Alisha (Reylon) Lockhart, Johnnie Sparkman, Danielle Trueblood (Pat McKenzie), Josh (Jill) Blankinship, and Jake Blankinship (Hilary Tyler); eight great-great-grandchildren, Kaylin Sparkman, Carley Sparkman, Karisma Lockhart, I'Leigha McKenzie, Isaac McKenzie, Noah Blankinship, Lucas Blankinship, and Maddy Tyler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by father, Paul G. Badger; mother, Velma L Badger; son, Mick Badger; sister, Audrey Murdock; and brother, John Badger.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, with military graveside rites conducted by U.S. Marine Corp and Daleville American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Loose Funeral Home to assist family with expenses.
