Charles E Gustin, 84, of Anderson, passed away Aug. 18, 2017, at his residence. He was born Jan. 4, 1933, in Anderson, Indiana, where he resided all of his life.
Charles served his country in the Army.
He retired from General Motors and had owned Gustin's Disposal.
He was one of the founding members of Memorial Wesleyan Circle and enjoyed bowling, working in the yard and his grandpuppies.
Charles is survived by his loving spouse of 65 years, Barbara (Garrett) Gustin; son, Terry (Paula) Gustin; grandchildren, Mandy (Tremayne Sr.) Brown, Jerry (Elizabeth) Imel and Nicholas Imel; great-grandchildren, Selena Brown, Tremayne Brown Jr., Taliyah Brown, Sarah Imel, Alice Imel and Henry Imel; great-great-grandson, Emperor Newsom Jr.; sisters-in-law, Judy George and Mary Jane Gustin; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special family member, Deborah (David) Nelles.
He was preceded in death by his children, Jerry Gustin and Shirley (Raymond) Imel; parents, Robert Lee and Freda Gustin Sr.; and brothers, Bobby Gustin and Delbert Gustin,
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St., Anderson, Indiana.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park with military rites.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
