Clarence German departed this life on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Community Hospital of Anderson.
Clarence, affectionately known as "Dude," was born on Aug. 20, 1944, to John German Sr. and Sarah Walters German in Montgomery, Ala.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Gwen (David) Jones, Anderson; granddaughters, Tomeka (Shawn) Jones and Ashley (Antwaun) Jones, all of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Antonio (Tez) Jones, Xzavier Jones, Zion Jones, Jaiviar Logan, Je'Marion Jones and Jai'Ayrris Jones, all of Anderson; a sister, Sarah (Gordon) Wilson of Anderson; a brother, Eddie (Mary) German of Newark, N.J.; a very special friend, Lorene James of Montgomery, Ala.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, John Sr. and Sarah Walters German; three brothers, John German Jr., Harris German, Sr., and Lawrence German; three sisters, Dorothy Carroll, Annie Ruth Carroll and Lillie M. Lucas; and one grandson, Ashtin "Mainer" De'on Logan.
Special thanks to the Edgewater Woods Nursing staff for their dedicated care, Pastor Eddie and Deborah Robinson, and our very precious Christ Temple Church family for their ever cherished prayers and support.
Services will be held at noon Saturday at Christ Temple Church, 1610 W. 22nd St., Anderson, with District Elder Eddie Robinson officiating. Viewing will be at the church from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the services.
All arrangements entrusted to Gholar & Gholar Funeral Services, 2223 Nichol Ave., Anderson.
