Clyde's Story

Clyde Paul Lennon, 78, Frankton, went to his heavenly home on July 22, 2017, after a valiant struggle. He was a precious gift from God to his family and friends, and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Paul was born in Hartford City to the late James and Ruth (Perry) Lennon on March 2, 1939.
Paul married the love of his life, Elaine Hight, and started his family of four children, bringing them up in church as well as community. Paul was a strong participant in many community- and faith-based organizations.
For more than 40 years, Paul and Elaine owned and operated Lennon Printing Inc., The Original Card Shoppe Inc., The Frankton Press Inc., as well as Madison County Monthly. Paul drove a school bus for 42 years for the Frankton School System and for the First Church of the Nazarene of Anderson. He was a longtime supporter of the Frankton Eagles.
Paul is survived by his son, William Lennon; his daughters, Jody Chandler (Montague Oliver Jr.), Karen Lennon-Zammito (Tracy Summers, Stephen Zammito), Rhonda Wire (Martin); his very special friend, Sharon McWilliams; sister Phyllis Craig; brother Don Lennon (Sue), Charlotte Hight, Sally and Jack Ade, Chuck and Joyce Hight, Jim and Nancy Hight, Marion and June Hight, Sandy Hight, Nola Himelick, Elizabeth Hight; grandchildren Nicolas Chandler, Brooke Lennon, Natosha Chandler, Anthony Summers (Jackie), Andrew (Bri) Whited, Megan (Jon) McDaniel, Jessica (Brian) Jent, Greg Wire, Nathan Lennon, Montague Oliver III (Gabby Abrams), Jessica Zammito (Terry Sayer), Stephen Zammito II; great-grandchildren Trinity Lennon, Xzavier Summers, Charity Cox, KayDee Summers, Clayton Grisentwaite, Lakin Whited, Haley Grisentwaite, Robbie McDaniel, Makayla Sayer, Ethan Jent, Cordy McDaniel, Lennea Whited, Gracie Jent and baby Sayre; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Hight Lennon; William and Margaret (Hiner) Hight; son-in-law Robert L. Whited, Bill Hight, Gordon and Kay Kinnaman (Sims), Jack Hight, Lucille Quear, Paul Borum, Bob Craig; grandson Conrad Summers; and great-granddaughter Emily Summers.
A Celebration of Life officiated by his dear friend, Pastor Gary Klinger, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at 807 Clyde St., Frankton. Bring lawn chairs and warm memories for a pitch-in dinner.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson First Church of the Nazarene.
Paul's final gift of compassion and caring was to donate his earthly body to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
