Curtis H. Marlett, 69, passed away Tuesday evening, April 4, 2017.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1948, in Anderson, and graduated from Yorktown High School in 1966.
Curtis was employed as a correctional officer at Pendleton Correctional Facility until his retirement and previously was employed at Delco Remy in Anderson.
He was a member of Daleville Masonic Lodge 730. Curtis enjoyed his camping group in Brookville, hunting, fishing, and target shooting.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Nancy; five children, Douglas Marlett (wife, Ping) of El Dorado, Ark., Samuel Marlett of Daleville, April Rector (husband, Jeff) of Jonesboro, Ark., Karen Lawrence of Anderson, and Sharon Lawrence of Anderson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends, including special friends, Phil Rigdon and John Buckley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Marlett; his mother and stepfather, Marcella and Joseph Hollis; and a brother, Steven Marlett.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Wade Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
