Daniel M. Keeney, 76, passed away April 11, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born in Anderson on Nov. 7, 1940, to John and Esther Keeney.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1959 and from Ball State University. He retired as a draftsman from Indiana and Michigan Electric Company.
Daniel loved and enjoyed bluegrass music and playing the guitar and banjo. He traveled many years to Bill Monroe's Bean Blossom Festival. He also loved to roller skate, teaching his two grandchildren to skate at a very young age.
Daniel is survived by his son, Travis Keeney; two grandchildren, Paiton and Trai Keeney; two brothers, Kent (Paula) Keeney and John (Barbara) Keeney; two sisters, Deanna (Daryn) Frank and Anita Keeney; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Stringfellow and father, John Keeney.
Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services assisted the family with arrangements.
A celebration of Daniel's life will be held at a later date.
