David K. "Big Dave" Davidson Sr., 74, passed away on June 13, 2017, at Countryside Senior Living in Anderson.
He was born July 28, 1942, in Albany, Ky., to Enett and Edith (Crabtree) Davidson. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1962, where he excelled in track and cross country.
David worked at Delco Remy for 44 years before retiring.
Survivors include wife, Nancy Kirk; Tomme Camp, the mother of his three children; two sons, David K. (friend, Lisa Haynes) Davidson Jr. and Richard D. (Tammi) Davidson of Anderson; a daughter, Jodi (Dirk) DeGrief of Logansport; two stepsons, Chad and Shawn Kirk of Anderson; grandchildren include Desirae Davidson, Baylee (Joseph) Rodriquez, Griffin and Grace Davidson of Anderson, Madison and Carter Jones of Logansport; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins survive including very close cousins, Bill (Carol) Jennings and Barbara (Ray) Buck of Jamestown, Tenn.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Richard J. and John Davidson.
Service will be held at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service at 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 3 p.m. with Rick Davidson officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
