Dorris Lee (Hall) Shipley, 76, resident of Daleville, passed away May 10, 2017, at her residence.
She was born in Portageville, Md., April 28, 1941, the daughter of Roy and Irene Corgan Hall.
She was a 1959 graduate of Anderson High School and retired from General Motors after 25 years of services.
She was a member of the Redhat Society, Kappa Sigma Beta, American Legion, Eagles, VFW, Party Animals Card Club, Amvets and Chesterfield Community Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, in 2012; four brothers; son, Darren; granddaughter, Bryanne Box; and grandson, Stevie Crum.
Survivors are three children, Kelly (Bobby) Bevelhimer of Fairmount, Deborah Turner of Daleville and David Lennis of Daleville; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rita Livingston of Texas, Jodi (Nelson) Johnson of Oklahoma, Laura Johnson of Oklahoma and Barbara Longstreth of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 S. Walnut St., Daleville, with Pastor Todd Faulkner officiating.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the services on Tuesday.
