Earl C. Pugsley, 94, of Anderson, passed away June 21, 2017, at the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1922, in Millford, Mass.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked for Nicholson File for more than 40 years and later at Anderson Community Schools.
He was an avid gardener, and avid fan of his beloved Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football.
Earl is survived by his loving spouse, whom he married Dec. 25, 1942, Catherine (Higgins) Pugsley; son, James (Linda) Pugsley; sister, Hazel Findley; grandsons, Jason Pugsley and Marc (Joselyn) Pugsley, all of Southern California; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ethel Pugsley; son, William Pugsley; and sisters, Dorothy Williams and Bethany Shuart.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Shine officiating.
