Emma Imogene (Bookout) Teeters, 85, of Marion, passed away on March 11, 2017, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on Aug. 3, 1931, in Lawrence County, Arkansas, to the late Earl and Lora (Jackson) Bookout.
Emma was a homemaker. She was a member of the Northeast Church of God in Marion and the Marine League Toy for Tots. She loved animals and was a doll collector and member of the Cabbage Patch Collector's Club.
She is survived by her husband, James Teeters, of Marion; daughters, Penny (Ray) Hiner, of New Castle, and Kelly (William) Fields, of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Jessica (Carl) Marlett, Riley Fields and Kyle Fields; great-grandchildren, Clara and Annabelle Marlett; siblings, JoAnn Williams, Ann (Dwain) Jones both of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
Emma was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverley Aloha Ramsey; brother, John Floyd Bookout; and stepfather, Jesse Tate.
The family would like to thank Riverview Hospital and Seasons Hospice for their care and kindness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Darrell Smith of Servant Community Church of Marion officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
