Ethel Valena Cunningham, 94, of Anderson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 11, 2017, following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Anderson, the daughter of Ira and Maggie (Harless) Stottlemyer.
She was a lifelong area resident, and graduated from Lapel High School. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning and quilting. She attended Frankton Wesleyan Church and Lone Oak Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by two children, Gary (Leta) Cunningham and Randy Cunningham, all of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Marline Cunningham of Anderson; five grandchildren, Sherry (David Dudley)Cunningham, Aaron Cunningham, Trina (Matt) VanBlaricum, Loranda (Jerrico) Planalp, and Matthew (Michelle) Cunningham; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis Dudley, Keegan Planalp, Kyran Planalp, Evan Trissel, Mykia Trissel, Dylan Hines, Lily Hines, and Cameron Cunningham; sister, Lois Maxine Lewis of Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George A Cunningham; son, George Alden Cunningham; two brothers, Roscoe and Floyd Stottlemyer; and three sisters, Reba Stottlemyer, Margaret Ebert, and Louise Seippel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with the Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in K of P/IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lone Oak Wesleyan Church.
