Flora Yolanda Daniels, 85, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at I.U. Health/Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
She was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Delaware County, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Kohler) Dailey. She graduated from Royerton High School in 1949 and attended Ball State University. She was a longtime resident of Muncie and also lived in California during The Korean War, as well as Texas during the 1980's.
Yolanda enjoyed reading and worked at the Anderson Public Library for several years. She treasured her friends in her Euchre Club and her Royerton High School classmates. She valued education and both of her children are teachers and Ball State University graduates.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Daniels; brothers, F. William "Bill" and Richard "Dick" Dailey; and her parents.
Survivors include her two friends and sisters-in-law, Ruth Dailey of Anderson and Joan Dailey of Lafayette; her daughter, Lucinda Jo Hale (husband, Robert) of Muncie; her son, Joseph Daniels (wife, Lora) of Elm Grove, Wis.; her grandchildren, Paul Robert Hale (wife, Audrey) of Noblesville, Katy Hale and Drew Hale of Muncie, Bill Daniels (fiancé, Angela Schrubbe) of Arvada, Colo., Leigh Daniels of Los Angeles, Calif., and Wesley Daniels of Milwaukee, Wis.; her great-grandchildren, Jillian and James Murray and Lucinda Hale, all of Noblesville.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will take place in Tomlinson Cemetery at a later date.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
