Frank L. Taylor, 85, Anderson died May 15, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Frank was born March 28, 1932, in Anderson, the son of Lewis R. and Florence (Nealis) Taylor and graduated from Anderson High School.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Hyades.
He worked for General Motors in skilled trades as a welder for 36 years.
He was a member of the Chesterfield American Legion Post 408, and the 40&8. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and watching Indiana University and Notre Dame sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Nell (Baker) Taylor of Anderson; three daughters, Terri (Dave) McClellan of Elkhart, Carol Blackmon of Fishers and Donnetta (Duane) McClellan of Elkhart; six grandchildren, Angela Grant, Adam Blackmon, Ryan (Heather) McClellan, Brad (Sheena) McClellan, Ashlee (Curt) Blosser and Kristen McClellan; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Jere) Neely of Greenwood; and four nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Joan Fisher.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral.
