Freddie Crowder, 85, of Anderson, passed away Sept. 2, 2017, at his residence in Anderson. He was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
He was a retired painter. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel. He served his country in the United States Army.
Freddie is survived by his brother, Ernie (Susan) Crowder, of Anderson; a sister, Betty Jo (Tom) Crowder-Wardwell, of Anderson; and companion, Rosa Crowder, of Anderson. Freddie also was survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clure and Ersie Crowder; a brother, Edward Crowder; sister, Ruth Crowder Young; and children, Freddie Crowder Jr. and Jeffery Allen Crowder.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dewey Miller officiating.
Burial will take place in the K of P-IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.
Military rites will be performed by the Daleville American Legion.
