Harry Russell Nichols, 81, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
He was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Anderson.
Served in the Armed Forces and retired from Anderson Country Club. Russell enjoyed life, family, traveling, fishing, and canoeing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his loving memory includes his children, Jimmy Clark Jr., Rick Clark, Dianna Palmer (husband, John), Mike Greene, and Janie Fisher; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren; a sister, Betty Brady; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Nichols, whom he was happily married to for 36 years; and sons, David Clark, Doug Nichols, and Russell E. Nichols; granddaughter, Lorena Ryle; and three siblings, Barbara, Ethel and Charles.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church, 310 E. 53rd St., Anderson.
