HAGERSTOWN — Jack Kimble, 87, of Hagerstown, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at Henry Community Health, New Castle.
He was born in Anderson Jan. 3, 1930, to Wayne O. and Cluster (Reeves) Kimble. He had resided in Hagerstown since 1994, moving there from Daleville.
Jack was a graduate of Anderson High School, where he participated in track and cross-country. He was a retired employee of Delco Remy in Anderson. He was a member of Congregational Christian Church, United Church of Christ, a member and past-master of Hagerstown Lodge #9, F&AM and a member and past-chancellor of Knights of Pythias Lodge 33, New Castle.
An avid fisherman, Jack enjoyed making and selling fishing lures. He was an enthusiastic euchre player and enjoyed time with family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanenne (Lamb) Kimble; daughter, Jennifer Witsken (Mike) of Noblesville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a stepson, Paul Sterling (Bev), of Connersville; a sister, Nancy Allen (Ronnie), of Alexandria and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children, Mark Kimble, Jerry Kimble and Rebecca Summitt; and five siblings, Dale Kimble, Phyllis Burke, Clay Kimble, Paul Kimble and Shirley Lester.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. A Masonic memorial service and funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Ray Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
