Jason "Jay" Dhanraj, beloved son, brother, and friend to many, passed away from a sudden illness on May 4, 2017, in Gainesville, Florida.
Jay was born June 9, 1978, in Anderson, and graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1996. He attended Ivy Tech for two years and then worked in retail in Indiana. He moved to Florida in 2006 and worked in auto sales and construction.
Jay is survived by his parents, Sam and Elaine Dhanraj; brother, David Dhanraj; sister-in-law, Melanie Dhanraj; niece, Sophie Dhanraj; nephew, Daniel Dhanraj; maternal grandparents, Papas and Ruckmanse Ramkumar; girlfriend, Jaime Hill, and her daughter, Alexis Wilson. Additionally he was loved by many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Naples Funeral Home, 3107 Davis Blvd., Naples. Burial will follow in Palm Royale Cemetery, Naples, Fla.
Visitation will be one hour before service.
