Jewel A. Phillips, 80, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Community Hospital Anderson following a brief illness.
She was born May 17, 1937, in Macon, Georgia, the daughter Emmett and Nina (Chapman) Tucker. She lived in the Anderson area most of her life. She was a graduate of Frankton High School and worked for 37 years in production at Guide Lamp until her retirement in 1996.
Jewel is survived by her daughter, Ronda (Paul) Martz, of Anderson; grandchildren Megan (William) Sage, Kristoffer Campbell and Michael Wright; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Robert Sage.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Riggins and Odie "Jay" Phillips Jr; and siblings, Bill Tucker, Louise Wastson, Mildred Crull, James Tucker, Christine Smith, Peggy Mullins and Jackie Carter.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Brian Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
